Nick : Moot Court competitions simulate appeals court arguments, so they are mostly focused on the technical issues of law and doctrine. Mock Trial simulates a trial court, so we are more focused on learning evidence, handling witnesses, and telling stories that would be convincing to a jury. Tiffany : You can definitely do both! Many of our team members do both. Tiffany : You! Anyone who enjoys competitive public speaking, learning how to become a better advocate, and working with a super fun group of people.

Nick : There are about twenty competing members on the team every year, and we have all types of people. Some people come from theater and acting backgrounds, some are working on their public speaking skills. Outside of Mock Trial, Osazi spends his weekends volunteering for Takeoff Space, a nonprofit organization that matches college mentors to academically brilliant, low-income high school students and helps them with college applications.

In his free time Osazi enjoys exploring Harvard for secret tunnels, writing poetry, and eating good meals. Stella is a sophomore in Kirkland studying Economics with a secondary in Government. She has participated in mock trial for five years, competing at Nationals three times. Stella is incredibly excited to be a part of the Harvard Mock Trial community and to work with all of the amazing people on the team. Outside of Mock Trial, Stella offers legal information about Massachusetts small claims law, paints, and attempts to brew her own kombucha.

Jacob is a junior in Currier studying neuroscience with a secondary in philosophy. He also writes for the Harvard Political Review. After competing in Mock Trial in high school Jacob decided to continue his interest in studying the intricacies of the law and the American courtroom by competing with HMTA. Outside of Mock Trial, Jacob can be found singing, dancing, procrastinating, and sassing his friends. Cara is a first-year in Lionel and plans to concentrate in Government and History.

She is also a staff writer for the Harvard Crimson covering labor at the University and a member of the Harvard Votes Challenge. An aspiring litigator, Cara loves talking about anything and everything politics or law. When not studying, writing, or organizing, Cara can be found dancing offbeat to BTS with friends, rereading Narnia for the zillionth time, or golfing with her parents. Braedon is a first-year in Weld Hall, concentrating in either Government or Economics while pursuing a secondary in Environmental Science and Public Policy.

In high school, Braedon was extremely involved in speech competitions, Varsity soccer, FFA, and community service. Jacob is a first-year who lived in Greenough Hall his first semester and will be attending class virtually from home his second semester. He plans to concentrate in Economics with a secondary in Government, then head to law school.

He joined HMTA after competing for three years in his high school mock trial program. He enjoys playing the piano, which he quickly learned is a common skill at Harvard. Simone is a rising sophomore in Mather House and plans to concentrate in Social Studies.

She loves to hike, read, and spend time with friends and family. Her 9 a. Nathaniel is a junior in Currier House studying Neurobiology. Coming soon! Stay tuned for the audition schedule for the team, which will be posted soon.

Before coming to law school, she served in the Peace Corps in Uganda for 27 months where she taught literacy skills to elementary-age students. Laura graduated from Cornell University in with a B. While at Cornell, she was president of the Cornell University Mock Trial Association, where she won numerous individual awards, including two All-American awards in her sophomore year. Josie is a 2L from Los Angeles, California.

Before law school, he majored in Political Science at Cal Poly Pomona where he was part of the mock trial team. After graduating he went on to coach their team leading to win awards nationally. In his free time, Josie enjoys being a gym bro, playing board games, and eating cereal for dinner. Jonathan is a 2L from San Diego, California.
