I'm kind of expecting to get on today or tomorrow and things aren't fixed, so I wont "accept as solution" until I have tried my game a few times to make sure. Thank you, though, for the suggestion.
I've used it quite a few times when my sims seem to start getting glitchy and it works. I returned to it the following day and it was fine. I think it was because I had some youtube videos up and it was making the game run a bit slow I hope, anyway.
I have installed some content from the store over the past two days, but only about items hair styles and a grill. I also, I believe, installed I hope two mods on breastfeeding and homeschooling. Are these good mods for glitchy computers? We can't really talk about them here since they are not supported by EA and you'll be using at your own risk. Thank you for your feedback. Thank YOU for your help. You have no idea how relieved I am to be able to play my Sim family again. In fact, I've been able to achieve some goals that I wanted to achieve.

They do a really scummy thing, they say if you play for over 2 hours you cannot get a refund Really lost massive respect for steam, and won't buy any other games from Steam.

It's not really steams fault it's EA's. They never made any attempt to fix it either. The only reason i have never bought it and never will! Delta View Profile View Posts. It's lame cuz I enjoyed playing Island Paradise but yes, it lags too much.
When I registered my game into my origin account which in fact is just a Sims 3 account with same email and stuff , they gave me free simpoints. I just bought another and with my simpoints simpoints in fact I think , I bought the Sunlit Tides world which is the second official island world. I'm glad I did! Even if I believe this game was terribly optimized and still lag despite the fact my computer is WAYYYYY better than requirements, this world never lag as much as Island paradise.
So if you registered your account on Sims 3 store, get your free simpoints and you're ok to dump another 10 bucks to get this map, you'll have the blast of your life! It gives the game a reason to play.. It's a very beautiful island fully populated with all community lots you could dream of so you can do all careers. And there is a lot nice spot to buil houses just kick some neighbor folks their ass out your way lol. Yeah i do have Sunset Tides. I play in a modified version of sunset valley myself, added everything i need so i rarely go to other maps unless i fancy a new game and change of play.
I would like the additional features that came with IP scuba diving, additional building features etc but i can live without them! There is also a load of nice custom made maps out there, there is some talented builders and modders who should probably replace EA staff!
Many people have had lag problems with IP, and from my understanding so far a lot of it is to do with the map design.
AI Sims get stuck due to badly structured buildings, the hidden islands cause lag so apparently you can edit them so they all show up and it decreases lag.
